HOW IT WORKS
You choose your preferred collection and select a theme from our curated collection.
For the Tiny Birthday Portraits, we'll create beautiful birthday portraits without cake and bath.
For the Signature Cake Smash & Bath, we'll take you through baby portraits, cake smash and finish with a fun bath splash.
We'll take care of the studio setup, props, wardrobe and guidance throughout your session.
All you need to do is bring your little one and enjoy the experience.
WHEN SHOULD YOU BOOK?
We recommend scheduling your first birthday session approximately 3–4 weeks before your baby's birthday.
This gives us enough time for your session, professional editing and gallery delivery before the big day.
How old should my baby be?
Our first birthday sessions are designed for babies celebrating their first or second birthday.
How do I choose a theme?
After the booking, we'll share our theme collection with you so you can browse the available options and choose your favourite.
Do I need to bring a cake?
The Signature Cake Smash & Bath Collection includes the smash cake, so you don't need to provide one.
The Tiny Birthday Portraits Collection does not include a cake.
If your little one has any allergies, you will need to bring your own cake, as we do not cater for special dietary requirements.
What should my baby wear?
Studio outfits are available for your baby and are included according to your chosen collection.
We'll help you choose outfits that work beautifully with your chosen birthday theme.
You are also welcome to provide your own outfits.
Is a splash bath included?
The Bath Splash is included in the Signature Cake Smash & Bath Collection.
The Tiny Birthday Portraits Collection does not include a bath.
Can family or sibling photos be included in the Cake Smash session?

Mom & Dad are included in 3 special portraits:
Mom + Baby • Dad + Baby • Mom + Dad + Baby
Because this is your baby's first-birthday session, the session is carefully planned around the birthday child.
We know siblings will want to join in — especially when they see the cake, props and fun birthday setup! However, once siblings start participating, they naturally want to smash the cake, play with the props and be part of the photos too. This can quickly distract from the birthday child and may also leave siblings upset when they are asked to step out again.
To keep the experience focused on your little one's special milestone and allow us to capture a beautiful variety of portraits, siblings, grandparents, extended family and additional group portraits are not included.
We want your little one to have their special moment in the spotlight.
What happens if my baby doesn't cooperate?
Don't worry — babies don't always follow the plan!
We keep sessions relaxed and baby-friendly, follow your little one's lead and allow them time to settle and explore.

How long does it take to receive my photos?
Your professionally edited gallery will be delivered approximately 3 weeks after your session. During peak season, please allow up to 4 weeks.

Our studio is located in Brackenfell, Cape Town.
We welcome clients from Brackenfell, Durbanville, the Northern Suburbs and surrounding Cape Town areas.
