At LiMia Photography, every maternity session is thoughtfully designed around you and your pregnancy, combining elegant maternity gowns, carefully selected accessories, professional lighting and guided posing to create beautiful, timeless portraits.

Best time for a maternity session?

We recommend scheduling your maternity session between 27–34 weeks of pregnancy.

When your bump is beautifully defined while you can still enjoy the session comfortably.

We recommend booking 4–8 weeks in advance to secure your preferred date and time.

Who can join?

Partner and children are welcome to join for a few photographs, depending on the package selected.

Family members must arrive dressed and camera-ready.

Please ensure everyone arrives ready for photographs so we can make the most of your studio time. Family members may make a quick clothing adjustment or change a top if needed, but full outfit changes for family members are not included and should be kept brief so we can make the most of your session time.

What to Wear

Choose your maternity gown(s) from our carefully curated Studio Wardrobe.

Studio fabrics, crowns and accessories are also available to complete your chosen looks.

Please arrive wearing nude or seamless underwear beneath your gown for the best results.

We recommend discussing your preferred colours and styling with us before your session so we can help you create a cohesive selection of looks.

Hair & Makeup

Please arrive with your hair and makeup camera-ready, as professional hair and makeup services are not included in your session.

Your Session

No modelling experience is needed. Every pose is professionally guided to help you feel comfortable and confident throughout your session.

We carefully guide you through flattering poses, movement and positioning while creating a variety of elegant maternity portraits.

After Your Session

Your professionally edited digital gallery will be delivered within approximately 3 weeks of your session.

Please allow up to 4 weeks during particularly busy periods.

Studio Location

Sessions take place in our private home-based studio in Protea Heights, Brackenfell, Cape Town.

Our studio provides a comfortable, private environment where professional lighting, carefully selected gowns, styling and guided posing come together to create timeless maternity portraits.

Payment Options

Payment options are displayed when booking. You may pay in full or choose to split your payment over 2–3 months via PayFlex or PayJustNow, where available.
