Our Kids Birthday sessions are ideal for children aged 5–17 and combine beautiful birthday portraits with a fun, relaxed studio experience.

With carefully styled birthday balloons, props and an artificial cake included. You are welcome to bring outfits that reflect your child's personality and the look you want for their photographs.

When Should You Book?

For the best experience, we recommend scheduling your Kids Birthday Photoshoot approximately 3 weeks before your child's birthday.

This allows enough time for:

✔ Planning your session

✔ Securing your preferred date

✔ Preparing your birthday setup

✔ Professional editing and gallery delivery before the celebration

As availability is limited, advance booking is highly recommended. Selected weekend appointments may be available subject to availability.

School-going children can also be scheduled after school or during selected weekend appointments, subject to availability.

Age Guide

Our Kids Birthday Sessions are designed for children aged 5–17 years.

For birthdays from 18 years and older, please view our Adult Birthday Collections.

What to Wear

Please bring the number of birthday outfits included in your chosen collection.

We recommend bringing the outfits you would most like to see in the final portraits and choosing looks that reflect your child's personality and the style you have in mind for their birthday session.

Cake & Birthday Styling

Every Kids Birthday Session includes an artificial cake, birthday balloons and birthday props.

Collection 2 also includes a foil number balloon.

To maintain our elegant and timeless studio style, we offer a carefully curated selection of balloon colours that photograph beautifully and complement the LiMia Photography look.

You may choose one or two colours from our available balloon collection:

White, Black, Gold, Silver, Rose Gold, Light Pink, Purple, Red, Burgundy, Navy Blue, Mint Green or Emerald green.

Please note: Balloon colour shades may vary slightly depending on availability.

Number Balloons

A foil number balloon is included with Collection 2.

Number balloons are available in:

Gold or Silver

Collection 1 does not include a number balloon.

Our curated balloon styling allows us to create a cohesive birthday setup while keeping the focus on your child and their personality.

Studio Location

Sessions take place in our private home-based studio in Protea Heights, Brackenfell, Cape Town.

Our studio provides a comfortable, private environment where professional lighting, thoughtful styling and guided posing come together to create beautiful, timeless birthday portraits.

Payment Options

Payment options are displayed when booking.

You may pay in full or choose to split your payment over 2–3 months via PayFlex or PayJustNow, where available.
